Overview
Kerala
Kerala, known as “God’s Own Country,” is a beautiful state on India’s southwestern coast. Famous for its lush landscapes, it boasts serene backwaters, pristine beaches, and verdant hills. Rich in cultural heritage, it celebrates festivals like Onam and the vibrant Kathakali dance. The state’s diverse wildlife and Ayurvedic practices attract tourists worldwide. Kerala’s warm hospitality and unique cuisine, including dishes like sadya and appam, add to its charm.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Kerala is from October to February, when the weather is cool, dry, and perfect for sightseeing and beach activities. The monsoon season (June to September) brings lush greenery, making it ideal for Ayurvedic treatments but not for outdoor adventures. Summer (March to May) can be hot and humid, but hill stations like Munnar offer a cool escape. The winter months are the peak tourist season, so expect more crowds. For a quieter experience with pleasant weather, October to March is ideal.
