Assam

Meghalaya

Meghalaya, known as the “Abode of Clouds,” is a stunning northeastern state of India famous for its breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage. It is renowned for its lush green hills, crystal-clear waterfalls, and dense forests. The state is home to several indigenous tribes with a unique way of life, including the Khasi, Jaintia, and Garo tribes. Shillong, the capital, is often referred to as the “Scotland of the East” due to its cool climate and picturesque surroundings. Meghalaya boasts famous natural attractions like Cherrapunji, Mawsmai Caves, and the living root bridges. The state is also a paradise for nature lovers, trekkers, and adventure enthusiasts. Meghalaya’s abundant rainfall makes it one of the wettest places on Earth, contributing to its rich flora and fauna.

Arunachal Pradesh

Comprising of lofty mountains, beautiful lakes and world famous monasteries, Arunachal Pradesh is worth a visit.It is one of those places that promise to offer one with endless experiences and breathtaking moments. If you want to explore the tribal culture and simplicity of the people in Northeast, Arunachal is where you should be. Around 500 exotic species of birds are said to exist in this state among which most of them are highly endangered and restricted. The traditional people of this place never fail to welcome their visitors with all smiles and warmth in their hearts.

Assam

The best time to visit Assam is from October to April. During this period, the weather is cooler and more comfortable for sightseeing. October to March offers a dry and pleasant climate, perfect for exploring wildlife parks, tea gardens, and cultural sites. April also works well before the monsoon season starts. The monsoon (May to September) brings heavy rain, which can disrupt travel and make certain places difficult to access.

Meghalaya

The best time to visit Meghalaya is from October to April. During this period, the weather is cool and pleasant, making it ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities. October to March is the peak season, with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 20°C. April is also a great time before the monsoon sets in, offering mild weather. The monsoon season (May to September) should be avoided due to heavy rainfall, which can disrupt travel plans.

Arunachal Pradesh

The best time to visit Arunachal Pradesh is during autumn (September to November) when the weather is pleasant and perfect for sightseeing and trekking. Spring (March to April) is also great for enjoying mild weather and blooming rhododendrons. Winter (December to February) is ideal for snow lovers, especially in higher altitudes like Tawang. Summer (May to August) is warm but can be disrupted by the monsoon rains, making it less reliable. For the best experience, plan your trip in the autumn or spring seasons.

Day - 1

Guwahati – Shillong

Reaching Guwahati meet and be assisted by our driver at the Airport/Railway Station and proceed towards Shillong, also called the Scotland of the East. Reaching Shillong visit Don Bosco Museum, lady Hydri Park and Wards Lake. In the evening you are free for leisure. Overnight in Shillong.

 

Day 2

Shillong - Cherrapunjee

After early breakfast proceed to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world. On the way visit Elephant Falls. Reaching Cherrapunjee visit Mawsmai Cave, Dainthlen Falls, Nohkaikai Falls, Seven Sister Falls and Eco Park. In the evening back to Shillong. Overnight stay at Shillong.

 

Day 3

Shillong - Mawlynnong – Dawki

After breakfast proceed for a Day trip to Mawlynnong- the cleanest village in Asia. It is situated 90 kms from Shillong and besides the picturesque village, offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. From there proceed towards Dawki (Indo-Bangladesh Border). Dawki is a small village and its main attraction is the Umngot River that marks the natural separation between the Khasi and the Jaintia Hills. The river can be forded by a suspension bridge that connects India to Bangladesh and facilitates trade between the two nations. The Umngot is the site for a boat race that is held in March-April, but even otherwise, seeing this large emerald-green serpent threading its way through the hills, with fishermen’s boats dotting its surface, right into the plains of Bangladesh, is a sight whose majesty echoes long after you leave it. Evening back to Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.

 

Day 4

SHILLONG TO BHALUKPONG

After breakfast head towards Bhalukpong-the small town of West Kameng Distict Arunachal Pradesh and also known for its Buddhist monasteries. It has a lot of attractions for visitors for its cool climate .Enroute visit Tipi Orchidarium a place over 500 orchids, on display there are some rare species of orchid. Arunachal has largest range of orchids in the country then take a break to visit Nag Temple. On arrival check in to the hotel. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Bhalukpong.

 

Day 5

BHALUKPONG - TAWANG

After breakfast check out from hotel and visit Bomdila Monastery. Later proceed to Tawang (11,500 ft.). – The land of Monpa Tribes & major centre of the Mahayana Buddhists. On the way to Tawang lies the world’s second highest pass – Sela Pass (13700ft) which run through a small ridge & along a lake called Sela Lake and visit Jaswant Garh, a memorial to the brave soldier who single handily tried to hold of approaching Chinese from the pass during the 1962 Indo-Chinese war. On arrival check in at your hotel. Overnight stay at Tawang.

 

Day 6

Tawang

After breakfast visit Tawang Monstery, Pankang Teng Tso Lake (PT Tso Lake), Urgeling Gompa (6th Dalai Lama birth place) & War Memorial. Evening free. Overnight stay at Tawang. Note- Our vehicles are not allowed for local sightseeing at Tawang, Hence guest have to hire local vehicle and our driver will assist the guest but please note that we or our driver do not have control over it. Additional cost of hiring vehicle at Tawang : Between 4500 /- to 5500/- (depending on the places of visit, excluding visit to Bumla Border (India-China Border).

Day 7

Tawang – Dirang

Today after breakfast proceed to Dirang (4,910 ft.). On the way enjoy the beauty and majesty of Nuranng Water Fall. Dirang is famous for hot water springs where people take bath to cure skin ailments. Places worth visiting here are the Apple & Kiwi Garden depends upon season, Dirang Monastery and Kalachakra Monastery. Overnight stay at Dirang.

 

Day 8

Dirang – Nameri

After Breakfast transfer to Nameri National Park – a tiger reserve and also famous for some Bird species. On arrival at Nameri check in to Eco camp. Afternoon you can explore nearby area of Nameri Eco Camp. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Nameri.

 

Day 9

Nameri – Guwahati

After breakfast head towards Guwahati. Enroute visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. Reaching Guwahati check into your hotel and rest. In the evening you can enjoy river cruise in the Mighty Brahmaputra (on direct payment). Overnight in Guwahati.

 

Day 10

Guwahati - Airport/Railway Station

After breakfast visit Maa Kamakhya Temple. Visit other places of interest if time permits. Later depending on your departure time head towards Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for onward journey. Tour Ends with Memories.
